Jodi Shelton, CEO and President of Shelton Group, Named Finalist in 4th Annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business

DALLAS (November 7, 2007) – Jodi Shelton was named a finalist in the Best Executive in Service Business category of the 2007 Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor female executives, entrepreneurs and the companies they run – worldwide. The New York Post hailed the Stevie Awards as “the business world’s own Oscars.”

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned;” winners will be announced during a gala event at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Monday, Nov. 12. Nominated executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S. and several other countries are expected to attend.

Female entrepreneurs and executives worldwide are eligible to participate in the awards. Over 800 entries were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories including Best Executive, Best Entrepreneur and Best Community Involvement Program.

Jodi Shelton was selected as a finalist based on her combined technology, business and communications expertise. She has utilized these skills to build an integrated communications agency, the Shelton Group, which is recognized and ranked among the nation’s most prestigious.

Judging of nominations is done in two phases: preliminary and final. Preliminary judges are recruited from around the world and select the finalists for the Stevie Awards. Members of the Board of Distinguished Judges and Advisors perform final judging and determine the winners in the various categories.
