Silicon Hills Summit 2005 Showcases 16 Premier Semiconductor Companies from Texas
Sixth Annual Event Highlights the State’s Leading Public and Private Companies to the Industry’s Financial Community

AUSTIN, Tex. (November 1, 2005) — The sixth annual Silicon Hills Summit, the Southwest region’s premier semiconductor financial conference, will be held Tuesday, November 1 at the Hilton Austin Airport.

The full-day event features presentations from some of the State’s most exciting public and private semiconductor companies and a special luncheon keynote address from Dr. Sanjay K. Jha, executive vice president of QUALCOMM and president of QUALCOMM CDMA Technologies.

This year’s event features 16 presentations from Texas companies, including Alereon, Britestream Networks, Cirrus Logic [NASDAQ: CRUS], ColdWatt, D2 Audio, Microtune [NASDAQ: TUNE], Mimix Broadband, Molecular Imprints, Nascentric, NetEffect, PropheSi Technologies, Pyxis Technology, RF Monolithics [NASDAQ: RFMI], Staktek [NASDAQ: STAK], SyChip and Wintegra.

“The Silicon Hills Summit has become the region’s top annual gathering of the financial community for updates on returning presenting companies and introductions to new, exciting semiconductor companies,” said Leanne Sievers, executive vice president, Investor Relations for Shelton. “This year, we are expanding our presentations to include top companies from across the State of Texas and offering a multiple-track format. In the first two quarters of 2005, venture capital investments in Texas companies totaled five percent of national VC investments of $10.1 billion, demonstrating Texas’ leadership among U.S. technology-focused regions.”

Austin Ventures and Shelton created Silicon Hills Summit in 2000, bringing the financial community to one of the fastest-growing semiconductor regions in the nation and drawing attention to the continuing success and advancement of technology in Texas.

Conference attendees include invited industry media and analysts, venture capitalists, semiconductor financial analysts, bankers, private equity fund managers and other financial experts. Loyal sponsors for the event are Comerica, DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary US L.L.P., Ernst & Young, Morgan Stanley and Vinson & Elkins L.L.P.

Registration for Silicon Hills Summit begins at 8:00 a.m. on November 1, followed by morning presentations from early-stage and public companies, and closing with mid- and late-stage companies in the afternoon.
