Kellie Nugent
Vice President, Investor Relations

As Vice President of Shelton Group’s Investor Relations (IR) department, Nugent is responsible for directing the IR account teams in order to design and implement strategic investor relations programs that are based on in-depth knowledge of the client company and the markets they serve.

Nugent plays a significant role in connecting clients with key members of the financial community. As part of this process, Nugent facilitates a two-way dialogue between Wall Street and Shelton Group’s clients in order to promote transparent and consistent communication. To accomplish program goals, Nugent relies on her extensive agency and in-house IR experience, which gives her a keen understanding of creating value through the agency relationship.

Prior to joining Shelton Group, Nugent was a senior account associate in the New York City office of Financial Dynamics, a strategic communications consultancy, where she worked with an array of clients within several different industries, including industrial, business services, consumer products, aerospace and defense, and technology and telecom.&nNugent honed her superior client service skills while working at Bernstein Investment Management (Bernstein), a subsidiary of Alliance Capital Management, L.P., as a private client services associate where she worked with three financial advisors who managed over $1.0 billion in assets.

Prior to her time in New York, Nugent was an investor relations officer in Austin, Texas at Vignette Corporation (NASDAQ: VIGN), a leading provider of enterprise content management, portal, and collaboration and integration software and services. Nugent built Vignette’s IR program from the ground up, starting at a successful IPO in February 1999 to Secondary Offering in December 1999 and beyond.

While in Austin, Nugent was very involved with the Austin Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), and served as President of the Chapter for a one-year term. She remains involved in NIRI.

Nugent holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
